Rey was a member of the transaction and development team that negotiated the development of the FUSE building on George Mason University’s technology campus. The 360k SF Innovation Development is a creative and innovative public-private-partnership that aligns the University’s academic programming and Commercial Partnership interests in one asset, to catalyze research engagement, tech transfer and innovation between academia and Industry. The transaction leverages Edgemoor’s Design-Build delivery format capabilities and competencies and utilizes a mix of construction debt, permanent loans and equity (from both the University and Edgemoor’s Equity Partner).

Rey led or was a key participant in the negotiation and structure of client facing real estate project and operating documents, including the Comprehensive Agreement, Ground Lease, Building Space Lease, Parking Operations Agreement, Operating Agreement and Reciprocal Easement Agreements.  Rey also led the sourcing and selection of key operating partners, including the parking management company, property management company, and O&M / facilities management company.
