Rey led and represented Howard University’s leasehold interest in the Master Developed site The Parks at Walter Reed, a 66 acre redevelopment of the former and historic Walter Reed Medical site in Washington, DC. Rey worked with the Master Developer TPWR, a joint venture of Hines, Urban Atlantic and Triden Development Group, towards the negotiation of a development agreement for two lots within the project and led the redevelopment effort of Buildings 6 & 7 for academic and healthcare mixed tenancy and use.

Rey oversaw Site Investigation efforts, managed programming and design efforts, and led pro forma development from the Ground Lessor / Owner’s perspective of a $90M construction value project that employs an innovative dual academic and commercial healthcare use model through a Lease-Lease Back agreement with equity and development partner Hammes.
